Fondren Library remains open during the construction of the Rees-Jones Library, but some areas will be very loud. Our Main Desk staff can guide you to quieter study spaces within the library or other libraries on campus. Earplugs are also available at supply stations throughout the library.

Collaborative Commons and Starbucks, 1st Floor

The Collaborative Commons, including Starbucks and the library entrance closest to Starbucks, will close beginning May 14 while the space is being renovated.

Road Closure

University Boulevard near the Rees-Jones Library construction will be partially closed starting Monday, May 18, with estimated completion by Monday, May 25.

Current Noise Level

Construction noise is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be no to very low noise at all other times.
