Parts of Fondren Library Red Level 1 and Red Level 3 are under construction but remain open. Construction activities have been planned to minimize disruptions, but occasional noise may be associated with the renovation. Our Main Desk staff can guide you to quieter study spaces within the library. Earplugs are also available at supply stations throughout the library.

Water Fountains
Water fountains are out of order on the Red side of the building. Water is available at Starbucks or fountains on the Blue side of the building.
Fondren Red Basement
The basement will be closed daily from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Please ask at the Main Desk if you need a book from this area.
Fondren Red Level 1
The hallway between the Red 1 Prothro Learning Commons and the south entrance (Hughes-Trigg side) is closed.
Fondren Red Level 3
The restrooms are closed. All other areas are open.
Current Noise Level
Construction noise is from 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. There will be no to very low noise at all other times.
