The best place to start would be searching for your titles through HathiTrust. Currently we have access to several of their titles during the pandemic.

  1. Go to https://www.hathitrust.org/
  2. Login in the top right corner with Southern Methodist University.
  3. Search your title, and follow the temporary access link until you can check out the book.

Please Note:

  • This access is only for current SMU faculty, staff, and students.
  • Many of these titles are limited to one user and one hour at a time, but it should let you renew as long as nobody else is trying to check it out.
  • If you are unable to find/access the materials you are looking for, please contact our reference librarians at bridref@smu.edu.

Another online resource would be National Emergency Library

  1. Go to https://archive.org/details/nationalemergencylibrary
  2. Create an account or log into your existing account by clicking Sign Up/Log In at the top right of the page
  3. Search for your title
  4. Use the filters on the left-hand side to narrow your search
  5. Click Borrow to check out the book

Please Note:

  • If you are unable to find/access the materials you are looking for, please contact our reference librarians at bridref@smu.edu
