Not all e-books are available for download. If an e-book is available for download, many vendors require you install an app or program before you can download. Follow the instructions below to download e-books on your device.
Most Android and iOS tablets and other mobile devices can read e-books in PDF format. See a list of all devices currently supported by Adobe Digital Editions.
You must create an Adobe ID. The Adobe ID is used to authorize Adobe Digital Editions and the BlueFire Reader app.
You will search for and access e-books through the library website, but if you want to download books, you need to have the BlueFire Reader installed. You will need your Adobe ID.
If you have an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, go to the iTunes App Store and install the Bluefire Reader app.
If you are using an Android device, go to the Google Play Store and install the Bluefire Reader app.
Once installation is complete, open the Bluefire Reader app and click on the info button. Enter your Adobe account ID to authorize the device.
If you have a Nook, you can read PDFs on your device. After first downloading the e-book to Adobe Digital Editions on your desktop computer, you can transfer the file to your Nook.
